The Caritas Center for Spiritual Care
The Monadnock Center is committed to advancing the Caritas Model of Spiritual Care, Direction, Training, and Discipleship for the faithful to become centers of care, compassion, and connection. As part of this focus, the center has worked to create a model of training, care, and accountability where we empower and equip individuals who desire to become resources for these changes in their communities.
Online & INPERSON
CARE
The mission of the Caritas Center is to make our care accessible, especially to underserved & marginalized communities. Through the gift of telecare, we can provide our services for costs a fraction of the US national average. We allow engagment from anywhere in the world, and, we can typically connect clients with directors in as little as 48 hours. Our goal is to always be ecumenical, authentic, and client based, while ensuring that we only employ the best in spiritual care practices.
RENOWN Models &
Approaches to Care
Caritas is a Latin term that describes the divine call to a full, transformative, reckless love of self, others, and the divine. By rooting our model in these concepts, we hope to center our efforts in an integral approach of mind, body, and spirit. The Caritas trademarked model of care hinges on an understanding of our work in the three “i’s”: Imagination, Inquiry, and Innovation. The approach was designed, developed, and refined by colleagues affiliated with multiple faith traditions over two decades
SeEKER FRIENDLY
The Caritas Center is careful to engage only the most experienced and trained – often certified/licensed – care managers and providers. When you engage with Caritas.care you will be assigned a care manager whose job it is to listen to your needs, story, and goals and ensure that your care provider is ideally suited to you. At Caritas.Care we commit to be a part of the long haul of your journey. This means valuing you, your time, and investing in your future, and the future of our providers
- Why Spiritual Care Matters
- Are You Looking for Spiritual Care or Direction?
- Do You want to Become A Provider?
Spiritual care offers more than emotional comfort—it has tangible benefits for well-being. Research shows that spiritual practices and community participation—such as regular religious service attendance—are linked with longer, healthier lives, lower rates of depression and suicide, and reduced substance use. In one study of older adults, those who attended religious services were half as likely to have elevated inflammatory markers (like IL-6)—offering a possible physiological explanation for better health outcomes among spiritually active individuals.
In healthcare, industrial, and community settings, spiritual care isn’t just comforting—it improves coping, reduce anxiety, commnunity engagement, job satisfaction and enhanced spiritual well-being.
Life brings seasons of loss, questions, and transition that can feel overwhelming. In those moments, having someone to listen, pray, and walk alongside you makes all the difference. At the Monadnock Center, our certified, licensed, and ordained pastoral care providers are here to offer compassionate spiritual care and direction—whether in person or through secure online visits.
Whether you are seeking comfort in grief, guidance in a time of uncertainty, or simply a safe space to share your story, we are ready to meet you where you are. This is not about quick answers, but about presence, support, and hope rooted in faith and compassion.
If you or someone you love could benefit from this kind of care, we invite you to to take the next, no-obligation steps towards care.
